~~Closing their summer after three sessions of successful sessions at St. Paul’s and Genesee Valley, Jon Torpey and his High Point staff hosted the Baltimore Summer Kickoff this past weekend and hosted a large swath of talent-laden teams from all over the country. Two separate All-Star Games (one for 2015’s, other for ‘16s and ‘17s) took place on Saturday evening, with at least 80 college coaches filling the sidelines to eyeball elite prospects. Here are a few standouts:

~~Jack Dennis ’15, A, South Jersey Shamrocks - While small, I had him down for a trio assists and a score of his own, making some great passes and shooting and feeding no matter what kind of pressure was on him. Extraordinarily slick, making a nice move to rip a great low-to-high shot past the opposing keeper.

~~Brian Stamm ’16, D, Shamrocks - A sturdy defenseman, the South Jersey native has a thick and athletic frame that gives off the impression that he’s ready for Division I. Had some big GB’s and shadowed his man well on Saturday night, staying on the hands and making his presence felt.
