The Shamrocks traveled up to Rutgers on 11/4 to play in the Rutgers Shootout.  The Shamrocks were comprised of 6th, 7th and 8th grade players.  Playing together for the 1st time, the boys had a great day.  First up was 2 Knights- 7th.  Our young Shamrocks team got after them quickly and never looked back crusing to a lopsided win.   Next up, was 2 Knights- 8th.  This team was much bigger than us, but we hung well.  For the majority of the game, goals were being traded.  We scored one, they scored one.  Lost in the last quarter of the game, but great effort.  The final game was against Leading Edge- 8th.  The Shamrocks were at a crossroads- win this game and finish the day with a winning record.  Lose this game and finish the day with a losing record.  Well, this tough bunch would not be denied.  They scored early and often, finishing the game with a 7 to 1 win.  Overall, 2 wins and 1 loss against strong North and Central Jersey competition.
