2026 Boys to compete in Limerick, Ireland

The 2026 Boys will play their final event of the 2020 Summer in Limerick, Ireland at the World Lacrosse Festival.  This event will be in conjunction with the U-19 World Games.  Interested in playing with the 2026 Team.  Register for Tryouts Today! 

Shamrocks Boys Youth Program Overview

2026 Team Notes from Summer 2019- 

Played in AA or A bracket for every tournament.  Went to championship in 1 tournament, finished 3rd in another tournament.   

Fall:

Updated for 2019-20: All Shamrocks players will have the opportunity to participate in 2 local, one day lacrosse tournaments. 

Youth players will compete in very competitive regional tournaments. 

Updated for 2019-20: All players will participate in team practices in the fall on Sundays.  The practices are designed so that players can and should participate in other sports (typically Sunday evenings).   High School players will also participate in the Shamrocks Spotlight Series.  The Spotlight Series is a high level training session coached and run by current NCAA college coaches.

Winter: 

Shamrocks players will participate in our Winter Training Academy including  individual skill development and positional training.   These sessions will focus on developing and reinforcing critical skill sets that will apply to the field game.  These sessions will are designed so that you can and should play additional sports.

Spring:

Updated for 2019-20: All youth teams will hold Spring Team Practices to be held in March, April and May.  Practices will be held once per week and are not to designed to replace your participation on your local town/rec team in the spring.  These practices are designed to enhance your spring lacrosse development.  All players will be expected to attend these practices regardless of conflicts or not.  All youth teams will participate in 3 play days or local tournaments between March and May. 

Summer:

All players will have Team Practices one to two days per week.  All players and teams will have Skill Development Sessions one day per week. 

Shamrocks Middle School players  will participate in 3-4 very competitive regional tournaments depending on your age group.

Note- For 2019-20 Season- The Boys 2024,2025, 2026 and Girls 2023,2024  players will have the opportunity to play in Ireland at a World Lacrosse Festival.

Attack:4-5
Middies: 6-7,
Fogos: 1-2
LSM: 1-2,
Defense: 5
Goalies: 1-2
One Team per Age Group.  At least 2 Coaches per team.  Positional Coaches including Fogo and Goalie Coaches.

'20 O'Neill Commits to Gwynedd Mercy University

Congrats are in order for 2020 Defense Patrick O'Neill on his recent commitment to NCAA DIII  Gwynedd Mercy University.  Gwynedd is located in Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania and  competes in the America East Conference against teams such as Cabrini, Marymount and Wesley.   

Patrick is an intelligent, confident defenseman with a team first attitude.   He has a tireless work ethic and can always be counted on to do the little things. He is an excellent teammate that always plays the game with a smile on his face.   

Pat has played for the Shamrocks 2020  team for the past 7 years and a key piece of a strong defensive unit.  His determination, ambition, commitment and tenacity will help him become an invaluable asset to the Gwynedd Mercy Men's Lacrosse Team and will help them continue on their path to excellence.  

In the spring, Pat plays for Coach Keane at Gloucester Catholic High School.

'20 Brennan Commits to Widener University

Congrats are in order for 2020 Midfielder Nicholas Brennan on his recent commitment to NCAA DIII  Widener University.   Widener is located in Chester County and  competes in the Metro Atlantic Conference against teams such as Stevenson,  Messiah and Albright College.   Widener is a strong program with a great history of success.

Nick is a shifty, athletic middie that with excellent vision and intelligence.   He is a threat to score from close and far and distributes the ball well.   Nick is a great teammate and very coachable young man. 

Nick has played for the Shamrocks 2020  team for the past 6 years and was a  focal point at the midfield position.   His athleticism,  commitment and tenacity will help him become an invaluable asset to the Widener University Men's Lacrosse Team and will help them continue on their path to excellence.  

In the spring, Nick plays for Kingsway Regional High School.

'20 Flamma Commits to Gwynedd Mercy University

Congrats are in order for 2020 Attack Nick Flamma on his recent commitment to NCAA DIII Gwynedd Mercy University.   Nick will join his brother Sam (2019) as a member of the Griffins!  Gwynedd Mercy University is located in PA and  plays in the Colonial States Athletic  Conference against teams such as Cabrini, Immaculata and Neumann University . The Griffins have really come along and are now a power in the CSAC Conference.

Sam has played for the Shamrocks 2020  team for the past 6 years and was a great contributor on the 2020 team.  He is a focused and dedicated player who it super witty  and a team favorite!   Nick's athleticism, fearlessness and strong offensive IQ will translate well  to the college level and there is no doubt Nick will have an excellent career at Gywnedd Mercy University and help them continue on their path to excellence.

In the spring, Sam plays for Coach Hanlon at  Washington Twp High School.

Congrats to Nick and his family!
