11/13/16- A combined team of players from the 2021 and 2022 teams marched into Mercer County Park this past Sunday to compete in the Trilogy Veteran's Day Tournament.  While mostly new to playing together, this group of players quickly gelled and had a great showing for the Shamrocks program.  Coach Keane gave the boys two main themes to focus on for the day: progress and outwork.  " I told the boys that our measure of success would be if we were a better team than we were the game before" stated Coach Keane.  One consistent theme in the program is the idea of "outworking" the competition.  "We are a blue collar program that takes pride in instilling a strong work ethic in our players".  We understand this quality will bring the players success in all areas of life.  So, our main theme is always to outwork the opponent" quoted Bill Keane.  The boys went 4-0 on the day scoring 26 goals and giving up 7 goals.  The defense was led by goalie Antonio Rodriguez.  Riley Harker, Jeremy Roberts, Victor Coleman, Joe Martinelli,  Andrew Tucker and Ryan Collins all played major roles in limited the opponent's offensive production.  Ayden Okrem and Matt Bundy led the charge taking turns at facing off for the team and winning well over 65% of the draws.  Owen Champigny, Ryan Stiefel, Jackson Diehl, Jose Lizardi and Cam Evans all controlled the middle of the field as excellent two way middies.  Blake Basich, Kellen Hurst, AJ Hance, Conlon Stasium, Matt Marino and Austin Sperduto all provided balance in scoring as the team's attackmen.  We are very proud of the effort of the boys as the they truly outworked their opponents throughout the day.
