The Shamrocks traveled down to the Annapolis area to play in Coach Cottle's Fall Invitational on November 4.  In all, 3 teams went down to test their skills against some strong talent.

2016 Team

The 2016 team started out with a very strong performance against Team One from Chicago.  The Shamrocks got after them early and played up- tempo all game.  Scoring was balanced and team defense was very strong with no goals against.  After a long break, next up was Looney's.  Looney's caught us still napping at the tent and we let that one go.  Last game was against St. John's, another strong team from the DC area, the game went back and forth culminating with a tie (Although we all agree the refs miss counted and we actually won by one)  All and all, a great day for this promising young team with  2 Wins and 1 Loss.

Shamrocks II

Shamrocks II had a tough draw of a schedule with an extra game and back to back game.  But, this team would not be deterred.  Shamrocks II,  comprised primarily of 2014 and 2015 players, started out the day against Performance Lacrosse of Maryland.  The team lacked some chemistry but you could see it was growing as the game went on.  After a spirited post- game speech by Coach Woodring and Walthers, the team never looked back.  Next up was St. Mary's Ryken, the Shamrocks got after them in the first half and cruised along for the victory.  Immediately following that game, the Shamrocks jogged over to play the 2nd of a back to back.  Well, momemtum was going and the Shamrocks cruised past a team from Alexandria, VA.  Last up was the Breakers 2015 team.  Both teams were ready to go and the Shamrocks, feeling their newly developed chemistry, played confident and went on for the win.  All and all, 3 Wins and 1 Loss.

Shamrocks 1

Shamrocks 1 started out against Battle Lax.  The boys started with a nice up- tempo defense applying constant pressure to Battle.  After a few nice stops on defense, it was time for the offense to get going.  They got going.... and the defense held up strong for a shotout win.  Next up, was Tri-State Gold, another team from New Jersey. Shamrocks I scored the 1st and never looked back cruising for an Easy victory.  Last up was Team 302 from Delaware.  This team was big and all Seniors.  After getting down by 2, the Shamrocks pulled it together.  The Shamrocks train was going and pulled through for a 3 goal win.  All and all, 3 Wins and 0 Losses.
